innocence

profound meeting

the soul lights up
when it comes across
a sincere emotion

the fire in the eyes
the sun in each spark
burns away the shadows
of seeming separation

ivory reverence

let it diffuse
slowly, your wondrous
love-creased scent
perfuming your steps
as you come unbridled
like light flooding a dark room,
waves awashing the shore

let it taint
deeply, your lunatic
care-free innocence
ushering your touch
as you enwrap me
carrying me afloat,
even in free falling

heart’s wish

Posted on Updated on

times may change
years may pass
may my heart find peace
only in things that last

at the end of the day
at the end of my life
may it only be meaningful things
for which I strive

may I never be misunderstood
or cause someone pain
may only clarity, selfless love
pulsate through my veins

people might change
they might want to come and go
but when the time is right
just make it easier for me to let go

through this journey, through this life
its your love and light I ask
innocence of a child
kindness in this heart

it is not one less year of this life
it is one year closer to You
in everything I seek, believe and do
may I only appease You

suave stillness

Posted on Updated on

in the solitude of the night,
as I lay amidst nebulous dreams,
something unknown and deepfelt
cut through the core, speaking of its presence

faces and forms dissolved
as the smoke of naked verse began to rise;
the stain of ruby drops deepened,
perpetuating the melody of longing

with trembling lips,
my lamenting soul began to utter  –
a few silent words laced with palpable sighs
of fragility, innocence and belonging

the clouds began to overshadow the midnight blue sky
and the hue of the sweet Beloved slowly descended
the incandescent lightning cracked open the dark sky
some unspoken fears, took flight into the state of oblivion

in the solitude of that night
after all was said and heard,
I lay drenched
in the rain of tranquility
