shore
reticent reverie
come to me
not as a wild thought
a forgotten image
or a transient feeling
not as the wave
that returns
after kissing the shore
not as light
that trickles
through the leaves
on a sunny day
unsure of its presence
or absence
but as the coolness of sand
under the shade of the sun
as the white of pearls
or the green of leaves
as the lasting depth
of ocean bottom
stay with me
like inherent nature of things
constant yet fascinating
unwavering
enduring
real
ivory reverence
let it diffuse
slowly, your wondrous
love-creased scent
perfuming your steps
as you come unbridled
like light flooding a dark room,
waves awashing the shore
let it taint
deeply, your lunatic
care-free innocence
ushering your touch
as you enwrap me
carrying me afloat,
even in free falling
divine ushering
take me to the place
where peaceful waters flow
where rain glistens on the leaves
a cool, gentle breeze blows
where the keys unlock
unleashing pure understanding
appealing to my parched senses
giving each breath, a new meaning
take me to that shore far away
where rapture and love washes the sand
with each crashing wave
where hopeful hours and innocent kisses
fill a careless day
with you, take me to the heights
where we can soar
two souls, spilling untamed joy
in a laughing sky
seeking nothing more
flame rose
paint, if you must
golden hills and silvery coasts
melody of unsung songs
traces of unfound shores
fill this void, keep me afloat
paint all that echoes
in your resplendent soul

an ode to a painter, art by Thomas Saliot : http://www.thomassaliot.com
healing light
the wind blows, sweeping with it memories,
stirring all thats been buried within
the thread slowly pulls loose
and the pile of dead leaves starts to break away
I give in, standing in silence
letting go of the fragile thoughts,
releasing the shadowed dreams
letting the feeling pass
there is yet another sky, another shore,
another reason to keep a beating heart
distant from warm comfort of tears,
away from the agony of an infatuated lover
sometimes we need to be protected from what we want
for a deeper need to be fulfilled
