the solitary pink rose petal
touching, floating
on keratinous filaments
back of that neck
kissing slight
just what feels right
raising crazing an emotion
so deep, humanity evolved
out of sleep, passion creep
mind receiving million
billion, uncountable
sensory tingles, all crying
wying for that turn
of the head, and deep
dark, intoxicated eyes
feeling, kneeling to
lust of living, giving
pleasure, pain, insane
elation, dilation
of whites to turn pink
rose petal link, mink
soft sink, feel the paradise
oww… I can’t even speel right now. Tey that again: wow! wooo. I’m going to tell you a little secret about men. It’s not the actual act that wins the brass ring. It’s the caving. It’s the submitting. It’s the look in the eye that says “I’m yours, take me…” It’s the subtle little “aaah” when our fingers touch you the first time. That’s the climax, that’s the ticket to a man’s heart…. You so just hit all over it with this poem!
Thank you for visiting and for sharing that, John.. I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the words. I’ve always seen sensuality and seduction as an art form, will definitely remember that 🙂
Thank you for this very lovely poem. We read it, and get lost in the unfolding, the disrobing. Like the words of Khwaja Hafez, these words point to both sensual and super-sensual realities.
This is so very nice, made even more so by the ambient music which we are enjoying.
Thank you so much Robert :)) I delight in reading how you bring the sensual and the spiritual meanings together. I must confess though that every time my post has a more sensual inclination, I do get a lil nervous knowing that you are definitely going to read it 🙂 Maybe its because out of love and gratitude for you being more of a spiritual companion, I hold you in high regard. And for as long as I’ve been aware, my very essence has felt a strong pull towards the spiritual and sensual realms with equal intensity and hence the reflections in the words that flow through. Both are so integrated in my being that I had to embrace them to be true to myself. But as always, you make connections between the two for me that sometimes escape my conscious awareness 🙂 So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your presence and words 🙂 Here’s a piece of music for you, that you might enjoy 🙂
What a nice reply :).As I’m writing this, I’m listening to the music you’ve shared. Wow…how I like it!
*I* delight in how you bring the sensual and spiritual together! Your poetry brings alive the same feeling for me as some of the old Sufi and Hindu poets whose writings bring alive the depths of the heart, while also, at the same time, pointing, hinting, looking at, very sensual imagery. I think there’s a reason the spiritual and sensual can connect, as love flows in both. Direct experience of a subtle kind can sometimes only find expression in sensual language, for that is almost how one may sense a connection to the divine.
In fact, the dry descriptions of the cleric do not interest me. They are speaking book-knowledge, and not the knowledge of taste.
