space
saudade
if only
you could see
what I see in you
hear what
I cannot say
you are
what no words
can contain
like all that is sacred
treasured, in my heart
you remain
you are..
you are to me
more than a story
more than a memory
imbued
in moments
when I am yours
and you are mine
space and time
oh how they intertwine
swinging us
into eternity

cold embers
on days like this
words fail me
lost without you,
my steps falter
these lips tremble
and breath hardens
‘when will you come?’ my heart cries
‘melt my frozen body
in your warm embrace
give me a reason to stay alive,
wipe tears off my face?’
I wish you could see
how I await your arrival
lost in space and time,
wandering between
the dead and the divine
and when only stillness flows
in endless motion
how I lie scattered
in a grave
on the edge
of a glowing ocean

intoxicating splendor
where do I exist, dear Beloved?
one minute I am here
another, with you
what place do I call mine
this or that?
what is this space
separating yet binding us
where I stay
enchanted and scattered
like a million stars
reaching out to the Sun
rufescent gaze
how beautifully strange
is stealing of flaming glances
with your beloved –
intoxication suffuses
from each pore
when those eyes dawn over you
time, space, sounds vanish
forgetfulness embraces
the world crumbles away
each sigh, every lament
all prayers answered
tenfold
in the opening of hearts
enough is not enough
a sweet blossoming death
in every exchange

midnight epiphany
walking the path
beneath incandescent moonlight
as we share similar madness,
clarity pours
from another realm
the words that make us
ceaselessly
fill the space
between us
bathed
in the light
emanating
from our beings,
absorbed
in the thoughts
mirroring our essence,
we ascend
I pause briefly
in wonder
as time slips away
only to discover
how I would
give myself
in the fraction
of an instant
to enter
that state of oblivion
with you
again
