rain

I am not sure
what I love
more –
you
or the fact
that maybe
that maybe one day
when the stars align
when the angels plead
you will come
and sit beside me
you’ll sit
till words cease to flutter
from our lips
till the silence
quietly slides
nudging you gently
to lie next to me
and we’ll watch
the clouds float by
hear the leaves gently rustle
to the songs of existence
in the warm summer sky
you’ll lie down
and you’ll teach me
what love is
all over again
till the stars fade
and the sun rises
with every sunset
every glowing sunrise
you’ll show me
the divinity
in your embrace
the devouring memory
in your touch
reminding me of home
just like you did
just like you did
as the summer flowers
spring blossoms
and autumn rains
we’ll seize moments
to gaze into the Eternal
to our heart’s content
slip into our space
tending to ineffable treasures
that lie hidden
underneath
there we will lie
for timeless decades to come
feeding our souls
confounded by love
comforting our hearts
trembling with delight

incessant rain
absorbed
in the symphony
of raindrops,
our shadows lend expression
to undiluted colors
of madness
of dreams
as you become my muse
inspiring me,
loving me
you come closer
draw me near
a meeting
upon the altar
of our shrine
a sweet torture
as amorous stars
fall from your gaze
into this silent reverie
fading us away
boundaries dissolve
words melt away
in this duet
between the shores
of delight and pain
submerged,
we loose ourselves
in the spell
that remains

inspired by music – Night of Rain by Craig Pitcher
divine ushering
take me to the place
where peaceful waters flow
where rain glistens on the leaves
a cool, gentle breeze blows
where the keys unlock
unleashing pure understanding
appealing to my parched senses
giving each breath, a new meaning
take me to that shore far away
where rapture and love washes the sand
with each crashing wave
where hopeful hours and innocent kisses
fill a careless day
with you, take me to the heights
where we can soar
two souls, spilling untamed joy
in a laughing sky
seeking nothing more
chilled daisy
away from the army of grass
in the orchestra of a rain shower
pondering in silence
my rare beauty
drizzling sentiments
rain
how it washes away,
cleansing everything
but splashes on me,
soaking my every inch
with your fond memories
