In a sacred moment
I tasted your presence
to the depths
of my soul
and all I ever knew
melted away

time stopped
and that moment lasted
for eternity

in your touch
you showed
what it means
to feel,
in your embrace
what it means
to belong

enwrapped in you
snow flakes
started to burn softly
and I forgot
where I ended
and you began

lost in the day
a thought of you
brushed by
like a gentle breeze
and butterflies
started fluttering
under my skin
in anticipation.

I love the image “snowflakes burn softly” – how beautiful. I love when God shines thru gracing us with her presence – I love your acknowledgement of that also. Thank you for liking my poem “Finding Something You Haven’t Lost” – I was in a moment of struggle, of loneliness, and your like reminded me that these moments pass – I acknowledge the gift that you are.

    Dear Himani,

I like this poem so very much. I like so very much the feel that it conveys of “I” falling/melting away, as something Other, something Real, manifests, making Itself more and more known.

I think there is something very real about sacred moments involving taste. I don’t mean the taste of an apple, and yet I do. Taste is incontrovertible. There is no explaining it. There is, however, the overwhelming certainty of it.

This is yet another of your poems which conveys something very special.

    Thank you for this.

    All good wishes,

    robert

Thank you so much dear Robert :)) Absolutely, I loved how you put it. Our senses connect us with the other, the doorway to experiencing the Real even when we carry the essence of those experiences within us. This, in particular, was inspired from two visions I had while in a meditative state. Always grateful to hear your feedback and kind words 🙂

Love, Light and all my good wishes
