cadence
I trace you
in quiet moments
of love and madness
in a language
beyond words
for thoughts collapse
when lips part
and a hidden speech flows
from your soul to mine
I beckon you
to dream
for within you, my love
the shine of a million diamonds
is waiting to gleam
the likes of what
death cannot touch
and life cannot flee
I treasure
your most aching parts
for even though
we have loved and lost
we still believe
in the sheer enormity
of our sacred beating hearts
I hold you
in tight embrace
for even as rain pours
your love soaks me
to my bones
without a warning
it often comes crashing
at the threshold
of my soul
I invite you
to come in and stay
for my universe expands
in encounters
like yours
where in just feeding
each others appetite
and caring, one finds oneself
cared for
so hold my hand
and lets chase cosmos
and the stars at play
as the Divine writes
our eternal fate
between me and you
beloved soul
love will always find a way

HATFM (((Awhoooo))) superb
I read the first stanza and said this is my favorite one, then I read the second and third and so on and then I realized each holds its own with fluidity and grace.
Then I realized the entire poem is BRILLIANT!!
Just Brilliant

Beautiful poem I had to reblog by the awesome poet Himani B! I recommend subscribing to her, she has very consistent excellence and elegance in poetry! This particular poem reminds me of my first attempt at writing a sonnet, which can be found via http://21shadesofblue.com/2014/04/18/quietus-kissed-cast-adrift-within-good-friday-occitan-sonnet/

Absolutely beautiful! I love this!
It reminds me of the first sonnet I’ve ever written (below), written ten days ago and posted at http://21shadesofblue.com/2014/04/18/quietus-kissed-cast-adrift-within-good-friday-occitan-sonnet/
“Quietus-Kissed, Cast Adrift Within (Good Friday Occitan Sonnet)”
by Ry Hakari
Quietus-kissed, cast adrift within
remedial sleep’s Elysian dream
with Solaris stitching Lunaris-spin,
weaving a family foreseen three
Either naively or sovereignly destined,
like a shield I cleave to the belief
Que sera sera, with suffrage convinced
what God wills happens eventually
A quantum leap asleep, of faith awake
in momentous minutes of a life envisioned
where halves of loaves hand-feed face
My better half and I in church-like fellowship
with the Giver of Life, just like marriages imitate
in sacrificial love with respect’s sustenance

Dear Himani,
Oh how nourishing is this poem!
I so very much like the concluding lines: “love will always find a way.”
And Love does, consistently, find Her way into and through your poems, and to this person’s heart.
Thank you!
All good wishes,
robert

Thank youuu Robert 🙂 Guess I watched Frozen with my sister as you suggested a few weeks back. I also discovered its based on the bond me and her share in real life haha We got a kick out of how closely the director seems to have been following our lives, with even my actual name translating into pureness of mountain Snow 😉 Thank you for bringing it up when you mentioned about your daughter..I hope and pray she is doing well. I can tell! It’s fascinating in fact, how the ‘feel’ of a poem changes when it comes from there, even if the same words were used. Somehow it can be sensed whether it comes from a deeper place or from a mind that seeks it, but doesn’t ‘feel’ it…
You are much in touch with that deeper place, which I would say, is what you are 🙂
