silhouette
the nights
flow in
washing over
like waves
a mystery
unfolds
silently awaiting
to be told
of seized moments
forgotten silhouettes
and all that
a heart can hold
thoughts
flood my veins
with nostalgia
of notes
that play within
time halts
when I hear you call
we meet
to fathom
who we are
a delicate touch
a soft whisper
in synch
two drops
of spilled ink

I LOVE the last two lines. That urban, summer-y feel of the poem is just so wonderfully accentuated by them, and yet it has that slight “old world” feel that brings to my mind wax seals on letters and blotting ink and handwritten art. And the conveyance of urgency and the near stream of conscious style is something I’ve really longed to see in poetry. Really loving it! (:

I must say I loved your insight and perception, thank you so much! As a matter of fact, I was looking for a picture that had old letters and that red blotch of wax seal, so your comment put a huge smile on my face 🙂 Really appreciate you here and your kind words, which also reminds me that I have to visit your magical blog soon ❤
