raindrops

and one day
they dripped
like pearls from heaven
splattering
one at a time
from her unrestrained soul
mirroring words
she could not utter
words that were often lost
lost in the depths of silence

The rain itself is almost silent, whereas the thunder is what gives it a voice. Perhaps there are times when she wishes to be heard and times when she just wishes to be pitied. Nevertheless, it is an awe-inspiring sight that makes us all reflect.
