resounding particles

Posted on Updated on

the sun rises
burns brightly
shows its might
then dies a death
in your world every night;
the full moon
in all its beauty
waxes and wanes
how many times
have you looked up at the sky
and noticed all this change?

people walk into your life
play different roles
give you love
nourish your souls,
give you reasons
to shed tears
or to laugh
over the years!

but when their time comes
they go their way
leaving you
by yourself
just like the day you first came

you, mortal being
with immortal soul
few more years
or who knows how many days
or how many breaths
you have at stake

what did you do today
to make a heart smile
soothe someone’s ache?

what did you give away
that made you richer
than yesterday?

how did you please your Beloved
knowing, that in the end
its only between you and Him

did you pause to reflect, to think
or went about unaware, unconscious
like every other day
acting on your whims?

Your poem gives words to my heart’s trembling. Amazing! It’s truly a gift from the Divine.

The image reminds me my own experience. That was exactly how, at three/four year old I used to guide my great grand father home from the main gate. I remember crying,” Nana aa gaye, Nana aa gaye..” after hearing his staff (laathi) hit the ground repeatedly, which he did deliberately for my sake.

        WOW – thank you… Himani;
I so rarely write poetry anymore myself – yet, I notice here at wordpress that poetry beckons to order and to our transformational soul memories – there is a tremendous outpouring of spirit of love, of healing, of feeling, of lessons – and your poem “sees” these blessings. THANK YOU.
        Blessings.
        ~ Eric

Himani, I just wrote (did not post) “When is the last time you watched the stars appear in a night’s sky?” How many of us walk around unawares, just going through the motions, disconnected from Souce? Too many. I know myself when I am connected and then the times I am not.

Beautiful touching words. Thank you for sharing your Gift! Love, Amy

why didn’t you post Amy? you should! ah so very true. trying to live in the moment and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us at all times for a little while now. being connected, as you mentioned, is definitely one of the most beautiful experiences out there 😊 pleasure having you onboard..thanks a lot for being here. much love, always! 😊

Sometimes I write things and afterwords I think twice about them. Now that you have said something, I will make sure this does get posted. I also do my posts ahead of time, and if there are many, some get lost way down on the bottom of the list until I dig them out.

(((HUGS))) Himani. I’m still a work in progress. All my life I’ve had basically rotten eggs thrown at me and it still takes courage for me to post. With people like you in my life, it gets easier. xxoo, Amy
