subtle stirring

your whispers
gently explode
beneath my skin

your charm
softly clings
hunting me down

move your lips
flutter in my eyes

It amazes me how there are so many ways to talk about the gift of touch and the feelings that accompany it. This is one of my favourites. Beautiful 🙂

And here was me thinking you were going to send me something by Nicki Minaj. I would say that the photo did evoke something from me but I wouldn’t dare call it artistic expression embarrassingly. The joys of being single and a virgin I guess.

Your words sank into my thoughts tonight. I unabashedly took them slightly out of context and morphed them into a poem, which I just unleashed in my realm. For you. Thank you for your insightful and provocative mind–truly a pleasure, my dear.

Ah, the truth is always in the touch of another. In that first instant, you ‘know’. And then, the heart beats faster, and you are lost. The gentle caresses can only be found in the emotional intimacy of another, who understands that connection from the heart. Thank you for a lovely share Himani. Namaste

lovely.i particularly like the charm hunting you down–a nice juxtaposition. and the paradise being born. i think if you made the third stanza as strong as the others it would elevate the poem even more.

thank you for the feedback..all the poems here, actually none of them I have “made” myself. weird, I know. the way they flowed on paper when something/someone evoked me..I transferred them here in their very raw form. hence I guess you felt that way. but thank you, appreciate that comment 🙂

Actually Himani, I agree with you. I am not much of a poet but I feel lines dropping into my head all the time. I wonder where they come from. In fact, I carry my notebook all the time. Even quotes/aphorisms come like that. Sometimes I have woken up in the middle of the night to record lines that were coming. Of course, lines come but nothing much comes through them 😀 This is happening when I am not a poet. Wonder what happens with those who truly know poetry!
