sublime reunion
awake at night, I delight
in conversations
with the light
stars wheel above my head
with them, I keep spinning
I keep spinning in ecstasy
on a carpet white
if I had words,
I would explain
how mad and frenzied
I am carried across the universe
in that silent flight!

Nothing as beautiful as a clear night sky. I was in the Army for 15 years. I was send to place where there were no cities or factories. In the desert and tropical forest. The sky can steal your vision. The good description took me to good places. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Everytime, trust me every single time I read your posts..it’s like I read your mind..how do you weave such imagery..I’ve read a lot of poems..poems that speak darkness and truth..the way you convey is beyond the dots at the end of the last novel.. I’m so inspired..I am not able to contain myself…the stream in me is fervent..waiting in the dark may it be for ages to know a human like you!! You literally write all the little gestures that your mind incorporates..I would want to know you and you soul that doesn’t dwell in you which treads beyond nothingness!!

I dont know what to say Aniket, its very heartwarming to read your kind comment. if I consciously had woven words, I would tell you how I do it..but even I am not aware how that happens. yes indeed, I do feel naked at times here, that different kind of nakedness. but I am thrilled to hear that it did make a positive difference there, however little. as far as getting to know me is concerned..umm lets see, we could catch a conversation sometime if you like? do you have fb?

Very nice. Have you tried writing in blank verse? I sometimes feel that rhyme can obscure/overshadow the intended meaning of a poem.

thank you 🙂 yes, indeed, most poetry here is actually written in blank verse. I don’t plan on writing either when it flows, the way it comes to me..it appears here. did you feel the rhyme obscured the meaning here? thank you for the feedback 🙂

I think what matters is if you felt that what you wrote made sense. Interpretations by others are, after all secondary, and often dependent on their own subjectivity.

the night holds so much allure and mystery, as do the stars and the Universe and how beautifully you’ve captured that in your poem.

Greetings,
Beautiful!
“If I had words…” conveys how the tongue may become intoxicated, and the mind silent and powerless over the heart.
Thank you for this.
