fluttering words

Posted on Updated on

words are the seeds
that fruit into thoughts,
into feelings at times

a tree doesn’t care much
if its seeds fall into the sea
or into fertile ground
or if either of them speaks the truth
when it is listening

its joy is in giving
and when the time is ripe
it spreads them with a smile
oh far and wide

but yes, sometimes
silences can do that too
in divine existence, between two souls
ah those perfectly timed silences
only free flow!

as a part of poetic dialogue and in response to –

What’s the use of words
when words are-
a dead weight,
soulless creation
far from real,
close to fake!
Just a way
to spread your plague
you delusional thoughts,
what’s the use of seeing
when your mind is closed!

What’s the use of words
when people are deaf,
and everything you say
turns to dust
before reaching them,
it decays!
Just wasted breaths
wasted parts of life,
what’s the use of words
when what you say…
it’s not true at all!

We speak ourselves if no one is listening 🙂 at least there is our soul to listen..sounds good?

    Greetings,

    Thank you for this.

It speaks to this person of the real potency of words. They can be windows or walls, and they can heal or kill.

    All good wishes,

Greetings Robert, I appreciate you sharing that. of all the things I thought words could be, seems like I missed out on the important ones 😀 how could I forget the way words have made a difference in my own life..very true..thank you! Best, always

I’m with kushtrimthaqi on this one.

You can create some pretty baubles out of words but I doubt you can really communicate anything important with them.

And they’re definitely not the seeds of thoughts. They’re the weeds that spring from thoughts and obscure them.

Believe me, I am with him too. It was just a positive spin on the use of words. Words can be powerful when they stimulate thoughts and actions. They can hold a lot of meaning provided they are true. and esp. for us humans, I feel, who have the language as a tool..be it sign language or communication through the use of words.

Without words how could one even begin to ask the question of why they weren’t important? I think trying to answer that questions with words IS the answer! Great piece Himani!!

Anytime! I also see that side of things and there is something to be said for the saying :actions speak louder than words” because sometimes there are no words to convey what our actions can so easily.

fluttering words do create their effect even on those who are deaf, who don’t want to hear or fake it…all what is needed is their flutter!
