fragmented lament

warm forehead
smeared ashes
tipping
on the edge of insanity

slow destruction
utter chaos
swirl
in beautiful symphony

flowering
from wounds
your words, your face
and unspeakable agony

between these lines
nothing
no nothing
but your legacy
forever inscribed
in red ink

When you started off with “warm forehead smeared ashes” I thought you were writing on Lord Shiva. Of course, he did not tip on the edge of insanity though humanity did drive to that point 😀

Haha! Nice to meet you Cabrogal. The Missus is the personification of Time (the etymology comes from Sanskrit ‘time’ which means ‘Kala’) while Shiva is the god of destruction. The dance of Kali on Shiva is known to be symbolic of the wheel of time matted to the spokes of destruction to bring forth a new cycle of creation again. So the tipping over is more a “cosmic salsa” than anything else. 😀
