homeward bound

Posted on Updated on

the pain of longing
ferments me slowly
but what use
is this sweetness
when all I have desired
is you
take me with the flow
dissolve me in you
till no more of me remains
only you, only you!

A deeply emotive poem as always, and I loved the video – though I didn’t understand the words, I could feel them. Very moving. What a great voice!

you’re too kind Michael, appreciate that. the video inspired those few words and the best part is, even I don’t know that language 🙂 must be the language of the heart that speaks to one regardless

The great dissolving… A beautiful window, but where does it lead?

Every soul a piece of some cosmic jigsaw puzzle cut from the whole – craving reconnection – the bigger picture.

why was the piece cut, when it belonged to the puzzle?

this actually reminded me of a quote by Rainer Maria Rilke that you might have come across before –

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given to you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”

This is the premise I live by. Rilke’s words had a profound effect on my perspective. It was as a consequence of these very words that I chose to make a life and career of asking questions and supporting others to do the same. Thank you for this wonderful reminder

Longing for love… How it hurts more than any illness. There is no painkiller that takes the pain away.

very true, omtatjuan. there’s no remedy and only a few understand. perhaps one day the Beloved will look at his feet and that will be my cure.
