umbral chutzpah

o love-creased redolence –
be my muse
inspire me
seep into my veins
then settle in my bones
feed this restless wanting
u n f o l d me
with your fingertips
become a part of me
a shadow
that never leaves
in thoughts
that I conceive
colour
me
deep
in your dark madness

“This restless wanting…” is especially familiar in the midst of your beautiful words, something we can all relate to. Lovely!

A line from your poem reminds me of a song written by a famous song-writer from India. Anything he pens is simply poetic – from earthly romance to high spirituality. Here’s my not-so-good translation of a song he wrote. I have highlighted in bold the line I particularly admire and your line “unfold me with your fingertips” reminded me of this line in the song.

My friend, my friend! My secret friend!
One who fills my string of small and sweet desires!
This is true fulfilment and this is Eternity. This is sweetness gained of love’s embrace.
Each need’s a boon, such is our bond; and this truth shall burn till I die.

Love me a little, yes you may, and cross your bounds with me, my friend!
Make my life a whole garden of flowers so,
I feel so much like a lover today.
Like how a god’s worshipper softly plucks the buds, pinch me gently thus with your tender fingertips, and rouse me from my sleep
Spend all your rosy evenings only with me
I want to serve you with my soft palms of pure butter
And then, it shall be a beauty’s true moment, to wipe off,
Those warm tears flowing in the midst of our deep union.

    No, nothing interests me much!
Nothing interests me ever since I have decided to be your own.
For the entire day, I think of embraces and embraces!
I am ready to unite, everything is so agreeable to me.
I promise to carry you on my back for as long as you want, if you promise to be mine.
Ok, I was cheating! No that won’t happen.
I will throw you away perhaps. And then? I will softly bind you to myself like my robe.
Each day will be a ritual held: a promise, a throw, and a binding embrace between. But remember!
To free from my tightness, give me things more sweeter, my secret friend!

My friend, my friend! My secret friend!
One who fills my string of small and sweet desires!
This is true fulfilment and this is Eternity. This is sweetness gained of love’s embrace.
Each need’s a boon, such is our bond; and this truth shall burn till I die.

    “u n f o l d me
    with your fingertips”…..great touch..

” the finger tips are unfolding
    the velvet petals,
    without making a scratch,
    without leaving my any marks,
    without touching the honey inside,
    it smells good,
    it tastes good,
    i am the sun,
    you are the flower…
” lol.. may not be good..but few lines to add..
